When can I send my Press Releases and How Frequently?

Hi all,
Before launching my press release I got some doubt.

1. How frequently we can launch the press releases?
2. Is there any particular time to launch the press releases (end of the week, or start of the week)
3. Please tell me the best timings for launching the press releases

depends what your business is about.
some companies will do one press release per year as they do some large projects.
some will announce every single change.

question is: what is the ROI of each and every press release?

OK, I'll bite, and I'll put on my journalist's hat :)

Timing depends on the industry, but Sunday nights are generally a good time for general releases so the release reaches journalists on Monday morning. But you need to bear in mind whether your target goes to press daily, weekly or monthly and work accordingly.

Only put out a press release when there is something important to say - ie something newsworthy.

Don't make the mistake of pumping out releases full of puff and fluff, and remember put the important news in the first paragraph. Don't bury it so the reader gives up before they get to the point!

MODS - please remove this reference if against TOS - PR Newswire is a good option, free and paid-for options available and covers a wide range of industries.

The readers are more interested for new article some useful information and breaking news. IMO if your news is really newsworthy you can send your press release even weekly.

I send out press releases once every week, or every two weeks. I only send them out when I have new articles or content for users. Dedicated users come to the site on a daily basis and see the new content, but there are users who only come for the newest articles.

Timing really depends on your niche and what works best for your audience. Business news tends to be submitted so that it's available early Monday morning.

All other press releases (entertainment, sports, travel, etc.) seem to vary throughout the week.

You may have to send a few over the next couple of months and determine what works best...(gives you the best ROI)
