I'm looking for an open source (hopefully LAMP based) alternative to goldmine. Any suggestions?

One of the more popular OS CRM is www.sugarcrm.com. Some features like Outlook plugin, advanced features are paid.

If you are looking for a fully free version you can try www.vtiger.com

just my tuppence on this one - I implemented sugar crm on an intranet and it worked fine and installed very easily on an xp box....but i found that the team i was supporting were'nt that technically capable and ended up returning to outlook.

Perhaps i should have forced the issue more, but there is a lot to be said for adapting a productivity programme into a low level crm system. Its a bit like the qwerty keyboard story "you know it, you stay with it"

And i found the sugar crm outlook sync software a bit clunky.
