I need advice about - proposalkit.com - ? please advise

Has anyone bought the proposals from this company?

Hello,

The only company that I have found that claims to have some specific proposal kits for webdesign is this company at proposalkit.com

I went through the site but the pro kit is expensive $200 US. I will buy them if they are really good but I can't afford to waste the money by a guess.

Please can someone advise me on them if you have bought them and found them to be good. If you can share any specific details about them that would be great too.

I bought it. It is expensive and no big deal. Also you don't get free updates, which you should at that price.

We've got some threads in the Professional Webmasters and Promotions forum that get into proposals and contracts pretty thoroughly and there are some good links in those. Dig back for a while, there's a lot there including some good related discussions on a lot of related topics.

It's probably better to draft one up and if any money will get spent, spend it instead on having an attorney check it over. Besides, as time goes on and you've got more client issues (and demands) behind you, things need to be added to proposals and contracts, which are directly related.

Thanks for your advice. I did search through all the archives here prior to posting this and there is nothing much indepth stuff that I could use, only tidbits here and there, well meaning of course though I am sure, but still too basic.

I saw the proposalkit website and they gave many claims of specific things which I really want to have including multiple premade indepth questionaires and forms, premade legal contracts, multimedia designer tools as well, etc etc.

I am aware that of course I would have to tweak and change things here and there for any pre made thing, but hopefully not to the extent I would have to do with the small examples of proposals and questionaires that I have found from posts on these forums.

This is why I am posting really, to find out from anyone if these proposalkits are really anything much more indepth then the basic stuff that one can see some examples of in the archives on these forums made by members.

If anyone else has had experience with the proposal kit pro kits, please post or msg me with any specifics. Thanks again.

There is a great book "The Geeks Guide to Internet Business Success" by Bob Schmidt. It is a few years old but Amazon might have a few copies left.

It cover business, sales, making presentations, quotes, keeping records, organising your time. In short, everything you need to know except for the technical computer stuff.

For design the best there is from the Graphic Artists Guild. There are plenty of examples available at webdesign.about.com - enough to look through and patch one together that suits the individual need.
