For the last few years, as a hoby, I have been runnning a property website where private sellers can post an ad and photos of their home.
It has been going ok and hits are about 3000/5000 per month. I have been stuck at that number of hits for about a year now and I just can't seem to get more. Most the hits come from yahoo.co.uk.
I do have doorway pages but they all seem only to generate small fry (1 or 2 hits a day/week). I have also tried mirror sites but this has never worked at all for me.
I have been unsing "addweb 4" for some time and it seems to do the job. ( its never worked for my mirror sites)
Any ideas would be most welcome. My goal at the moment is to get to 10000 hits a week
This is the best place to be if you want to boost your site traffic.
I think that you should do one or a few of the following:
- Newsletter promotion
- Develop new functionality of the site
- Develop new content for the site
- Optimize this new content to rank well in the search engines.....in turn, boosting traffic
- Evaluate your keywords
- Optimize for the keywords that will give you the most targeted traffic
there is a whole boatload more too..................
paulclarke, assuming you are UK based you could do that many uniques a day as a minimum in that keyword area. I would look at extending the range of your targeted keywords, think "keyword + town" as a starter.
Title= uk property, uk property for sale
Keywords= uk property, uk property for sale, UK PROPERTY, etc...
Desc= Buy your uk property here etc....
I have also tried door way pages. These have worked in ALTAVISTA & GOOGLE. The pages target a town e.g.
title: London property
Key: London, property, London property, property london etc....
