I'm considering trading services with a gentleman. A flash presentation for SEO. Worth it?

Can you give us some details guysmy?
I assume you will be doing the SEO and receiving a flash presentation. What will be involved on both sides? Do you have to maintain the SEO? How many hours will each side put into the project?

I'm the one making the flash presentation. I have no idea why that url was snipped, that's HIS website.

Some of the techniques he is talking about on the website involve pasting code on your page. I didn't like the sound of that, so I asked for traditional hand-worked SEO.

We are working out the specifics right now. Since the Flash will likely take me a long time he might throw in some $$ along with trading SEO.

I'm just being careful, the presentation will look nice in my portfolio, but only if the methods of his service are viewed as legit to search engines.

I think I will be maintaining the SEO. I don't know how long it will take him to optimize the site, that's not my field. I do know that the flash presentation will take me at least 16 hours if I make it cool and smoothly animated.

GuySmy, Check your stickmail....it is at the top of your screen.

In regards to your deal, I would be careful that the amount and quality of work that is being traded is of equal weight, and like you said, his practices are legit.

Try to get something in writing

Yes, if you can, let us know the SEO methods he proposes to use, and how many pages he is optimizing for.

I'll get back to you on his methods...getting a written agreement sounds like a solid idea, thanks.
