Any best practice or suggestions?

I need to track the time spent on different projects for a small team of designers, copywriters and developers. I am browsing the web but all I find is either full fledged project management like MS-Project or single-user-single-workstation time recording.

How do YOU solve this? By pen and notepad? With some elaborated Excel scripting? Any tool recommendations or at least search phrase recommendations?

Thanks!

I went through this about 6 weeks ago. The best I have found is "myhours.com". So far they are free, and we havea 4-person team using it. I assume they will move to a paid model soon enough. However, for right now, it works really really well for us.

The reporting is quite extensive, and is all easily exportable to excel.

It takes a little time to set up, but so far, has worked wonderfully for our rag-tag little outfit ;)
