Hi,

Newbie to the forum. Working on my first big site. Am tasked with the SEO strategy. I am getting conflicting reports on publicizing my site.

I have a information product with a large database. In creating lots of content for to get noticed I have created a template that creates a "snapshot" of relevant and very helpful facts for people interested in my topic.

The data on each page is unique but the text surrounding it is identical.

Some SEO articles I have read says creating static pages like this is a good way to build traffic, other articles say that boilerplate pages are a sure route to banishment.

I think that the answer to that question would depend on mainly two factors:

how much unique content vs how much duplicate content

how many pages does this situation applies to vs how many pages in whole website

The more of 1 and the less of 2 the better :)
