Which company name for multiple sites?

I started this thread:

about getting multiple sites in Yahoo for the same company (each site about a different product, in a different category). I have two concerns about using the same company name in each site:

1. I hear that Yahoo often use the Company name as the title - I need a product keyword as the title.
2. I hear that Yahoo don't like multiple sites for the same company.

I would very much appreciate any opinions, experience, advice... about the implications (legal, practical etc) of using a different company name for each site (for a UK company)?

If the company is called So&So Ltd

- Can one of the sites trade as ABC Services, and another site trade as DEF Services etc.
- Is it necessary to give the actual company name on a site e.g. So&so Ltd Trading as ABC Services?
- Does this affect how/if Yahoo will title the site?

I have also read here somewhere that they will check the credit card info that you use. Don't know the truth of it, just a heads up. Perhaps somebody else will expand on this.
