Free URL submission scripts on SEO sites

Is this any good?

I just went trought PERL libraries sites to learn about URL submission scripts than one can install on his site/server.

My site already offers free tutorials and check lists, but does not offer any free services like free submission to a couple of SE and link pop searches.

Is it any good to install such free services on a SEO site or is it a waste of bandwith?
Is there some clues that my site could be penalised if over submission occurs from it?

Finally, does any of you can recommend a "no strings attached" inexpensive subission script that is fast and easy to maintain?

Hi Macguru, I'd be reluctant to offer this; I'd present them with a list of submission page urls to dowmnload and submit to themselves. Gut feeling only.

In the current climate indentifing yourself as an SEO is not a wise move. I would go as far as to say that if you have a portfoilo on the site then remove it, nevermind adding an auto-submit service.

My site clearly identify my company as a site promotion agency specialised in search service positionning. Targetted audience are Web design agencies so we never see end clients in portfolio. We clearly describe our services in the site but never mention certain ones. There is no way to sell cats without calling a cat, a cat.

glengara, I have the same gut feeling about free auto-submit service. It seems that it devaluates the professional service.

Far worse than you or I could imagine, more [hopefully] later, but trust me on this Mac - protect yourself and your clients at all times.
