I am looking for some feedback from people who have in-house Link Builders in the US or UK. I know most companies are facing some of these same issues.

Here are some questions I am looking for feedback on:

What qualities do you look for in a Link Builder?
Have you found people with particular backgrounds work out better?
What is the pay range you offer?
What is the turnover rate?
Is their job just Link Building or do you combine it with other project for variety.

Thanks!

This is based on what I've heard, not on what I've done.

Pay is based upon proven skills.

Skills tend to be interpersonal skills and common sense. How would you like to be approached about a providing a link?

The perfect link pitch isn't a good one as it "sounds perfected" and therefore inauthentic. I can spot the perfect pitch and its variations.

It's all about natural linking anyway so why not give a link to a natural partner and let the person know. Don't expect. Do be genuine. IF you come across as being in it for the money then what? (I needn't explain, right?)
