Hello,
I'm looking for a source for data on businesses (all restaurants in the US) I have looked on infoUSA or zapData and it looks like it would cost me at least $70,000 to get this data from them.

Are there other sources for this data? All I really need is name, location and phone number. It seems like there should be a cheaper way to get this... can I order it from the government.

Any suggestions as to other sources to look into would be very welcomed.

Ideally this would be from a source that would provide updates.. ie new restaurants have opened and others have moved or closed.

Thanks,
Jack

You could use Lexis Nexis, they have all sorts of research tools. For a small business, I don't think they would be expensive.
