I’m trying to research some content management systems for use in producing a hard copy catalogue and online website.
Basically we need some sort of central depository for our business information i.e. marketing material, product info, and sales information etc. so that our website and catalogue, on going to press, contains the up to date information, and also makes updating this information a whole lot easier to manage.
I have seen a program called Easypress www.easypress.com which allows xml data to be imported into quark documents to produce the hard copy catalogue, but I’m not sure which program to use to write the xml documents.
This program will be used by authors with no programming knowledge so the need for and word like GUI is needed to transform the content to a standard xml format.
Does anyone know or use any such process? If anyone from .net is reading this, how is your magazine, web created?
Any help, advice would be greatly appreciated.
