Website vs. Phone Orders - Large ticket items

Whats the general % of orders?

I'm considering creating a site and affiliate system for a large ticket item (about $1500), and am wondering what percentage of orders I should expect to be coming in via the website vs. toll-free phone orders.
The product is a childrens education video series.

We do sales to the public for amounts of $1500 and greater. I am also interested in hearing some answers to your question.

We began our site offering only phone orders, and have done well for several years that way. About four months ago we added an on-line ordering option.

On-line sales have been fewer than expected, but very steady. Best, it appears that these orders are coming from customers who would not have placed a phone order. There are a surprising number of reasons why some people can only order on-line. For us, on-line sales are running at 5-10% of total website sourced sales right now.

Thanks for the feedback Skier. 5-10% seems good. I was guesstimating 1-5% for my particular product and market.
