We began our site offering only phone orders, and have done well for several years that way. About four months ago we added an on-line ordering option.
On-line sales have been fewer than expected, but very steady. Best, it appears that these orders are coming from customers who would not have placed a phone order. There are a surprising number of reasons why some people can only order on-line. For us, on-line sales are running at 5-10% of total website sourced sales right now.
