It's now getting close to accounts submission time for 2003-2004 and I'm attempting to get my business accounts done.

I don't do enough to warrant (or being able to afford) getting and accountant to do it all. I have sage instant accounts but really can't get my brain around it so have resorted to trying to do it all on a spreadsheet. I probably only have a dozen or so invoices, some purchases and a few other transactions to include, but I just can't find a simple way of setting it all out to get a good enough result to be able to do my accounts properly.

Any help would be handy.....

At the risk of sounding like a jerk... get an accountant. He'll probably pay for himself by doing a good tax return for you, and if he doesn't, at least you know you'll be clean from the start if your business booms this year and the tax man comes to check you out.

Spend your time working on your websites, not hacking an excel sheet to death :)
