Where and how to advertise to reach IT managers?

Hello!

I hope it`s right section of forums for my questions...

Company, where I am working is planning a huge advertising campaign to promote our new service. This campaign should be directed on IT managers and decisionmakers. We plan to submit articles (free if possible - to promote such type of services at all and paid -- advertising article with our contacts), put banner ads, classified ads to popular IT resources and Magazines (smthing like CIO.com, computerworld.com, infoweek.com and so on).

Does anybody have such experience? Or just experience of huge advertising campaigns similar to this? Was it effective?
Can you reccomend any resources and magazines popular among IT managers?
