I need basic article management use Mambo?

I have never used mambo but need some article management. Should I be looking at Mambo. I've heard good things about it.

I am considering a re-vamp of my site in late 2005/early 2006.

The site has a forum, lots of text content (reason I need article management), and a searchable database of events.

Any thoughts?

Mambo seems to have changed quite a bit since they started the Mambo Foundation [webmasterworld.com] and all the developers left. You might want to have a look at the Joomla! project as well...
