So I turned on the IMAP service and got that set up instead, keeping all of the mail on the server. However there is one major annoyance with Outlook and Outlook Express and I haven't really been able to figure out a way around it yet:
I don't delete e-mail. Ever. I keep everything in the Deleted Items folder and, through the POP3 account, all I had to do was hit the DELETE key when looking at a message and it would get moved to that folder. This isn't the case with IMAP. Instead, Outlook and OE draw a line (strikethrough) through the message when I hit the delete key. I have to manually drag messages to a "Deleted" or "Deleted Items" folder, which basically is no different than any other folder, then hit the "Purge" button on the inbox. And of course PURGE is a permanent delete, so if I don't copy it, mail goes bye bye.
Isn't there just a simple way for when I hit the DELETE key it gets moved to the Deleted Items folder instead of the stupid strikethrough?
