Can someone out there help me? my site has been being submitted by dsr1 mthly since the end of March and I am still not picked up by any directory at all. I am very discouraged. What am I doing wrong? Would someone kindly check out my site and tell me if there is something wrong w/it? I built it myself so there very well may be something wrong w/it. Dsr1 told me it was ready to go before they submitted it the first time. Does it really take this long to get in a directory?Six mths is a long time to wait to get visitors. It seems the only ones I get are the ones wanting to link to my site. Any help anyone could offer me wuld be much appreciated.

Thanks so much, Rita

1. All the major search engines will add your site without submission if you have a link from another page in their index (that's most of the visible Internet)

2. Search engine and directory submission software is often a rip-off (I don't know anything about the one you've given your hard-earned cash to).

3. Yes some directories take a while to get submitted to. The Open Directory (which powers Google Directory) can take up to 2 years to get in to. Paid directories are usually much quicker but that's unlikely to be included in the submission programme you've joined.
