Remote SMTP server for ASP forms

This is the situation. I run a few sites on the same host and they all have ASP formmail scripts for sending "contact us" emails from the site.

At the moment they all point to the hosts SMTP server but he has great problems and it can be very un-reliable, hence I am loosing forms.

Does anyone know of any remote SMTP services (paid or free) that would allow me to send the forms via their SMTP servers.

One essential thing is that for authentication, it must be based on the email address the forms are sent to as I don't think I can set up outbound username/password authentication on the formmail script (unless any brain-boxes here can advise).

Ideally I would like it to be a pay-per-email service as I would only need it in emergency when our hosts SMTP service has been trashed.

If anyone else has any idea's, please put them forward as I have not really crossed the boundries of email services much in the past.

Thanks to all.

What about creating a separate "processing website" that you link out to (with assurances to the surfer) at which site the form is filled in? Make that website something official sounding, like YourCompanyNameMainOffice.tld, etc.

Of course, the processing website would be hosted at a company that does a better job of handling forms for its hosted sites.

Then again, if you could find such a company maybe you would do just as well to move all of your websites. ;)

Good thinking.

1 website - Easy!

Move 7 websites, 34 domains .....etc pain in the a**e!

I have actually found a company. They charge £14.00 per year and they seem to do a pretty good job. I have hunted high and low for comments on them and can find nothing bad - and thay have been around for a while.
