Hi, For some reason every 1-2 hours I am not able to access my domain via HTTP or FTP. But once I am able to get on, it only last for about an hour or less.

I had ask many others to see if they can access it and they have no problems. I even changed my IPs many times thinking maybe my IP was blocked, but still I was not able to get on.

I contacted my hosting and they said that it might be my ISP problem, but its been 4 days so far. I am not able to work on my site or even look at it with out it cutting off on me.

Should I just go find a new hosting or is there a way around this other then useing proxys?

Can you ask other to ping this domain and check do you same IP while ping .

1. If you see host not found , then IT must be your connection provider not hosting .

2. If you get same IP, then it is a problem of hosting company.

3. If you get different IP, Then it should some problem at your local hosts file

Unless you have some reason to believe that it is your ISP (i.e. you have trouble viewing other web sites sometimes also) then IMO you should get a new web host right away. Go with one of the leading providers if you want to avoid junk like this (even if it's a bit more $).

I guess ill have to do just that. *sign* time to back up all data again.

Over and over it's like the same story for me. I would love to pay more for hosting, but my sites was never designed for income in the first place.. . but since good hosting does not come cheep, I was thinking of a way to get some income.

Thanks for the advice.

Maybe throwing up some contextual ads will cover your hosting fees. If they're just static html then the fees shouldn't be that much even at the best providers...

One of them is a chat forum, but its not a niche; it's pretty general and ranges from cars and bikes to love and romance. Basically a little bit of everything.

My second site is a directory, again it's just gernal stuff. A little bit of everything. It's more of an addon to my forum so members would not have to post links all over the place. It was really starting to get anoying.

I know this is not he best way to go if im looking to go if im looking for to make a little income, but becasue of that I am now trying to get off one of them off the self Real Estate Listing sites and also working on the second directory site, but this time on a signle subject. (Nope, I still didn't come up with one I would be interested in yet) lol.

This is basically why im looking for a new hosting for a second set of sites. I am happy with my current hosting, but I just wanted to try others incase this one does not go too well in to future; i'll have a second choice.
