Hi BobOConnor, welcome to WebmasterWorld.com!

Normally I'd say look on the home page for the forums list (on the right) but there is no clear Database forum. We should have one!
Anyway I think that the PHP forum is probably a good place for those questions since PHP and SQL are so often used together.

As for JAVA there isn't a forum for that either, man you're a tough customer ;) I guess the Apache forum since Tomcat is for Apache, or Website Technology Issues or this forum.
