mybloggie is kinda great, real easy to modified the template also, if you know a little bit codding

The opensourceCMS site has a section dedicated to blog software you might want to check out. MovableType is probably one of the most mature products in this field.

This really depends on what you're looking to do with the blog and how much control you want to have over the design and layout.

At the time I started my blog, I didn't have access to an SQL database, so I needed something simple that didn't require storing messages in one. I ended up with SimplePHPBlog. It's really light and easy to customize if you know CSS at all.

Anf if you have access to sql, the best for customization, design modeling and everything, would be?

Moveable Type in my experience, but I know a lot of others like WordPress.

I've been very pleased with Movable Type, although there's a bit of a learning curve and you really need to work to customize it to a significant degree. On the upside, there's a robust and active community that is constantly churning out plugins, improvements and recommendations.
