Someone is literally sitting on my site for long periods of time and refreshing same page, we're talking 2000 extra page views daily (I have person's IP address). Should I inform adsense team about this or is this removed by them by the end of the day anyway.

Its interesting your first concern would be adsense.

Is there any content on the page? Might there be something there that is doing it?
Might that have some runaway refresh script running unintentionally?

Why would you think they are refreshing because of your ads?

Are you sure this is a real person and not a search engine?

I'll ban the ip.
I don't think it's search engine - nothing shows in logs.
No weird scripts on that page.

Thanks for speedy reply.

I'll ban the ip.

I had the same problem a few days ago. One IP address constantly reloaded the same page. I used nslookup to find the source of the traffic and it happend to be a proxyserver of a large company that went nuts and reloaded the same page every time. Glad I didn't block the IP because I have good legitimate traffic from that source. So first use nslookup to see if there is a name comming up for the IP address. If there is no revere DNS entry it is probably safe to block it.

Never mind, false alarm, turns out googlebot has been on roids last couple of days.

By the way, how do you reply with "quote" on this forum - I can't seem to figure it out.
