I am looking for a trouble ticket system where user do not need to register to post troubles. They will only provide email, where the ticket ID will be sent. SO after they will be able to login using email and ticket ID. It would be nice to have an integrated KnowledgeBase/FAQ.

Any recommendation(Both opensource and Commercial)?
Thanks.

Request Tracker is a good system, and he's got some FAQ software too.

RT is definetely the best one you'll find out there. It's very customizeble and templatable as well.

Bugzilla does not necessarily require you to register an account, you can make it completely open, where an account is created using their email address when they create a bug.

You may try Trouble Ticket Express [troubleticketexpress.com] - it does not require to register in order to post a ticket and generates a random key to access the ticket later. The script provides a key finder feature - a customer may request all keys to be sent to his or her email address.

I also found OSTicket.com very small and nice script, RT is feature rich but in PERl. I was planning to integrate Ticketing System into Mambo CMS.
Bugzilla is better for bug tracking where customer should feel trouble ticket system in my site. TTE is again in CGI and no better than RT.

It is good to know more scripts that you have told me. Now I can compare and choose the one I need.

Many thanks.

[helpdesk-software.ws...]

This is done in J2EE (JSP / Servlet). And I trust it works as per your requirement.
