Finding a site consultant

Not just SEO, but the whole thing

I've been doing this website thing for 5 years now. I've got a good site with decent traffic that makes good money.

BUT, growth is now stagnant - it's time for an outside evaluation and recommendations. Not just on SEO or page design, but the whole thing: SEO, design, marketing plans, content development plans, evaluating things like advertising placement and partners, etc.

Where do I find people who can do this? What should I expect to pay? Has anyone gotten such a review before?

I'd try to get recommnedations from people you know who have used such a service before and were satisfied.

I would suggest you to take support from reputed outsourcing company, as practically it is very difficult to find a multi-task & highly skilled person.

There are plenty out there but the hard part is validating their reputation. It would be nice to find someone from this site.

You can select few of them and check their capability by dropping a test ticket into their support desk asking for a response at utmost.

It is most important to ensure their commitment to quality, accuracy and meeting your needs as per your expectation.

" I would suggest you to take support from reputed outsourcing company"

This would be the very last place I'd look, and putting in a test support ticket that will be given high priority because it's a test support ticket would prove nothing.

You want a real person you can deal with directly, who has all the skills you need. You need a very skilled generalist, who are hard to find.

That's it in a nutshell. I've spoken with several "internet consultants" and they're good at either website design or SEO, but they don't really understand how everything has to work together to make a successful site.

I think it is a rare person that has the experience to see a site/business as a whole, not just separate elements lined up in a row.
