Hi all,
I'm after a web-based application, ideally free or not too expensive that is, or can be used for managing contacts re donation/charity raising for a not-for-profit.

I realise almost any CRM application might be used for this, but it's likely there might be something particularly slanted towards it.

Anyone point me to something?....

Hi,

I found that nipping over to SourceForge
[sourceforge.net...]
and doing a search for 'CRM' or maybe 'PHP' and 'CRM' (make sure you tick the little "require both words" tickbox) gives lots of options. I found also searching for "donations" gives lots of good results too.

To be a 'free' as you can get, maybe you can try a PHP solution, on a Linux server that has MySQL as a database.

Something I have used for a while is XOOPS:
[xoops.org...]

They have lots of modules that you can plugin, including a donations one for PayPal:
[xoops.org...]

All the best

many thanks scintex and andye.

Yes, I'd advised my partner that salesforce.com was certainly an option - as indeed is Sugar open source crm.
