toolman mentioned a software called
MailWasher in another thread [webmasterworld.com]...It looks promising and I was giving it a run. I temporarily got rid of SpamWeasel [google.com] and wanted to see what this newly hyped soft could do.

Anyway, MailWasher has an option that gives you a chance to launch a command line for your default e-mail soft, in my case OutLook. I was wondering is someone might know the DOS command to make OutLook open and check mail...Couldn't seem to find that on my own...

I've been using Mailwasher for awhile now and I'm lovin it. I've scoured the documentation on it and can't find anything about launching OutLook from the command line. I just have mine set to launch Outlook once it's done it's thing - just a check box in the options.

You might have to contact the programmer directly for something of that nature.

In MailWasher under Tools¦Options¦General (tab)¦Options there is a button labeled Specify... where you can Use a preconfigured mail client or there is an option to Specify a mail client command. From that line I could execute Outlook or any other e-mail client and add switches that would open the program in a certain state.

This is the best list of command line switches for Outlook [office.microsoft.com] I could find. Unfortunately I can't find a switch to do what I want, open Outlook and check the mail. I'm just looking to reduce the # of clicks in my daily routine ;)
