Text in tables & SEs

Can search engines index text in tables?

Ok, I was reading somewhere a couple of days ago that SEs can't or won't index text in tables and layers. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

Hi aaronjf,

Some will have problems with deep and multiple nested tables. A good thing is to try keeping the good stuff (text) as high as possible on the pages.

Construct you tables so your targeted keywords are floated to the top by keeping navigation below it.
