Website Quester

A question of stopping?

I am new to this web hosting world, and would like to ask of the experianced people how can you stop this "website quester" from crawling and downloading your site? Sure hope you can help out here, its starting to be a real problem, hitting on a regular schedule and eating up the bandwidth.(10,000 + hits) Any help for a newbie appreciated. If not the right area to post, just point me in the right direction.
