Some guy has been making false accusations to my host about one of my websites.

Just wondering:

Is it illegal to make false accusations such as this to try and get a business taken off the net.

I am really ticked off with this guy and am thinking about taking him to court.

He has looked up my whois info and left messages on my phone threating me and accussing me of false info.

The site just opened up and I think he is mad because he is a competetor. In each one of his messaged he demands that I shut my site down or he is taking me to court.

His accuasations are completly false!

Get a Lawyer. WIthout knowing the countries involved, it's hard to respond except Get a Lawyer.
If you have recorded messages that threaten you, then call the police.

Agreed. Keep the originals of any correspondence for future evidence. If he is making personal threats against you, then complain to the police.

If it is non personal then contact a lawyer to see if a "cease and desist" letter will shut him up. Worse case, you may need to take him to court.
