Blog Host or hosting service?

I've been seriously considering starting up a site about a subject I know in-depth. Friends have often asked me why I haven't written a book about it. Anyway, I didn't know anything about adsense until my co-worker mentioned it to me the other day. Amazing. So now it's time to actually do it. I'm a little confused though.

The site will be information for men, updated on a regular basis with quality content. In the past several years I've written and saved a bit on my PC. Probably about 100 pages or so. I can upload that as soon as I get a site up.

Should I use a blog service or actually pay to host a website?

If paying to host a website, where/how do I get a domain?

Get a domain, they're cheap and hosting packages are plentiful.

You'll just need the basic, no whistles deal.

find some hosting that is willing to sponsor you, and you will put button from your site to their's..
and you can pay for domain i guess..it's about 15$ ( in my country )
