Being Blocked From Craigslist

I'm being blocked from Craigslist. Has anyone ever delt with this? I'm a freelance designer and send many emails to potential clients from there site. I've been doing it for a couple years now with no problems. But for the last couple days Craigslist has been "timing out" and I cant reach the site.

If anyone can provide some information on this topic, I'll be forever thankful.

Who is blocking you? An employer's computer?

I just spend a few months in the SF Bay area working on site for an engineering client. I had to use their computer for some functions. Their computer was the only access to the web while in their plant.

Most of the time I could use craigslist for things like finding an apartment and other information. However, sometimes their system blocked craigslist for unknown reasons. Their IT people didn't know why (the blocking software ran automaticallY); they even encouraged the use fo craigslist for those of us visiting the company from out of town.

They intended to block many types of sites, such as web email (prevent downloading attachments), porno, and the usual. They did not intend to block craigslist; the software, however, sometimes did block it.

That is a good site especially for the resources you mentioned. When you say "Timed Out" are you getting a HTTP error code? 401? 403? 408? 500?
