ps I hope I posted this in the right area...
I just spend a few months in the SF Bay area working on site for an engineering client. I had to use their computer for some functions. Their computer was the only access to the web while in their plant.
Most of the time I could use craigslist for things like finding an apartment and other information. However, sometimes their system blocked craigslist for unknown reasons. Their IT people didn't know why (the blocking software ran automaticallY); they even encouraged the use fo craigslist for those of us visiting the company from out of town.
They intended to block many types of sites, such as web email (prevent downloading attachments), porno, and the usual. They did not intend to block craigslist; the software, however, sometimes did block it.
