Payment dependant code

I would like to know if anyone has been able to come up with code that if a client didn't pay, you could then change the name of .... say a txt file on your server that would make their website shut down.

Preferably using JavaScript.

Once they made the payment you could turn it back on.

If there's a reseller's administrative panel for the hosted client sites it can be turned off and on in 3 seconds with a check-box.

A simple htaccess file could be used to redirect all their traffic to your site if you are in control of their site?

i recently did some work for client who then decided not to pay me a penny. since i already spent a lot of time and money on it i have decided to let the SEs and directories do their work, wait until decent traffic arives then get back in touch with the client and give them the ultimatum 'pay up or i drop the site'

No, I am not hosting them. They are hosted somewhere else.

All I did for them was to create their menu system. Which is all JavaScript.

So I was wondering if their was a way to make the code break from my server.

you should have built the menu using a CSS file that was on your server. no pay? rename the CSS file until they do.
