How do I adjust the distance that the line of text moves down when pressing enter? For some reason mine is on a very small setting that takes ten presses to equal your average single press when set at the default. I don't know how it got like that but I would like to know how to fix it.

While you're in the text edit window, look for leading. Leading is usually bwtween 110% and 120% of type size, so if you have 12 point type, it should be about 14-15 pt leading.
Useless trivia: in the old hand-set type days, they used a strip of lead between the rows of type to adjust line spacing, that's where the term came from. I remember doing it. :-)

there is no text edit window in v7. the leading is set in the character tab in the text options palette.
