Building multiple sites for same company, should I have the same link

Multiple links on same site

Hello;

This may be confusing? If I'm building various sites (most only for linking rank), should all the link names be kept consistant for search engine ranking? Example: mysite.com owns mysite2.com. All the business information is relevant to both sites. These sites are a network of 20 other sites. Keep in mind, the business operation is the same, only the web site designs are different.

Hello;

I meant to add that the links are internal.

I am not sure this arrangement will bring the desired results "most only for linking rank" ... you should really approach this as if you were creating separate departments that represented your clients main site or product/service sector....and then link these together for the benefit of the site visitors and usability...then you may have a chance to see some benefits...

So all the sites will be owned by the same individual or company? If so, then Google will quickly figure out what's going on and though you will have 20 sites working for you ...(which could find their own place in the search listings eventually)...they will not feed the link boost you may be looking for to the parent site..

Will they all be hosted behind the same IP number?
