I received 45K pageviews from this IP on Friday. It's very unusual because the site typically received between 5K and 10K pageviews per day. I cannot figure out where this is coming from.

Has anyone ever been visited by this IP or can anyone figure out who/what the IP belongs to?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I looked it up at dnsstuff.com It came back with several Spam reports. Go over there and have a look for your self.

If you google this name it is a hosting company offering high speed ISP and a bunch of techie tools including a 'security scanner' that looks for 'holes'.

I would definitely look at logfiles and see just what this IP was looking at and why no referrer string?
That IP you show is blocked, redirects to a invalid address.

I say block the sucker if it doesn't even id itself.

It may be innocent (maybe someone on their ISP?)
why take a chance. This place seems awefull familiar to me too, I think it was associated with a referal spam i was getting.
