Website Proposal Format (or samples)

I've never written one before...

I've never had to write a proposal before...and I have no clue where to begin, what should be included, what it should look like, etc.

It's for a small ~15 page static site. They have the content allready, just a redesign.

But they want a proposal...and I have no clue what to write, I need a little nudge.

Thanks,

You want to forming boundaries which will ringfence the service you will offer and how much it will cost without revealing too much in the way of "trade secrets".

Not that a lot of trade secrets go into a 15 page static brochure site with little SEO...

What would really help is a sample or two, so I have an idea how to layout the proposal.

Like I said, I've never had to write one before.

If you do a search on google for sample website proposal you should come up with a bunch.

I googled...and could find an example.

I found a lot of sample packages I could buy...but I'm not spending money on something like that.

roycerus,

I found all those...but not one of them contains a sample. They are decent guides, but just looking at a single, complete sample with fake data would greatly help.

Saying what to include in a section is great, I do now have a better idea of what to include...but I am still stuck on the formatting, the language to use, etc...

Understand?

Thanks for the help :)

Free, all yours for the taking

It's sketchy and oriented toward SEO, but can be easily adapted for a small design site with your own details put in. Just make sure and be specific with what's expected - and particularly number of changes, just so you don't get clobbered by project creep.
