Hi everyone. I am new at website design but enjoy reading all I can and testing new strategies with SEO. After firing 3 other SEO companies, I started doing my own, and now have a page rank of 4, but I should be able to do better than this, I would think.

My website is <snip> -- do you think I need more articles? If so, would you put them on page 1? Is page 1 the one that the spiders look at when deciding page rank? I have tried to put in headers and key words appropriately. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi MTACC_Admin and Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

I suggest you have a quick look through our TOS [webmasterworld.com] for an explanation of why I had to edit your post.

You'll also note that we don't do "site reviews" here, so I would suggest you repost with a description of what you want to achieve, examplified where necessary.

PageRank is a google specific and I would suggest you have a look through the google forum for info on what it is and how it works and influences rankings. If you have any further questions, post them in there. There is an excellent thread by Macro on this though that I suspect will answer most of them for you:-

In relation to SEO basics, you can do a lot worse than start by reading Brett's guide. It's a little out of date in places (nothing stands still in SEO), and it is again google specific (due to the market share they have) but the majority of principles mentioned and the overall philosophy of it is timeless and correct for most of the major search engines:-

In there you'll note Brett frequently commenting on "content". In answer to your question about needing more articles, the truth is you can never have enough.
