AOL Spam Reports

I started a newsletter a few weeks ago and with each weekly issue out of around 2,000 subscribers I get about 3 AOL spam reports.

They say that AOL users have clicked on a "spam report button."

I wrote one and they said it was an accident. I use aweber's double opt-in sign-up so all subscribers are verified via e-mail.

My question is does anyone know how many of these I can get before AOL will blacklist me and none of my AOL subscribers who really want my newsletter will be able to receive it?

Thanks, Peter

If you have yourself on AOL's "whitelist" (I assume that you do if you are getting TOS reports), then they will not blacklist you provided you remove the names of those who continue to call you spam.
What I do is first write the person to tell them that they asked for my newsletter but must have mistakenly clicked "this is spam". I tell them to please use the unsub link in the email or reply back to me and i will remove them. Most do not realize that they had marked it as spam and when informed, they "accept" and there is not a problem. If I get a few more TOS from that same person, I remove them.
So far, no probs w/AOL.

Thanks, sounds good. But how do I get on AOL's white list?

I am getting the reports from my subscription service, not from AOL directly.
