How Long to Get A Google ranking?

I've tried to optimise my site for Google by having lots of related content, good page titles, relevant links. I've got about twenty five pages of good content and about 15 inbound links (all relevent). My site was found by google about 6 weeks ago and I've still got a page ranking of zero. How long does it take to get a ranking, could it be that I just need to wait a bit more?

Of course Steve!

The Page Rank is updated three or four times in a whole year,so You'll have to wait before to get the first concrete results.
Make sure that all your internal links operate correctly and point them on a particular page if you wish to increase its own PR comparison to the others.
Increase continously your inbound links.

But have a lot of patient...time could be long.

The last PR update on my main site was in early January, I'm not expecting the PR on new pages to appear for another couple of months personally.

Bear in mind that the PR is not the be-all and end-all of getting positions in the engines though, concentrate on good quality links into the site.
