My site looks like this:
Main page(splash)
heading1: - 8px keyword phrase (3 words):
LOGO jpg
heading2: - 10 px categories
Splash picture (main beef of look)
style 1: end of table text - 8 px(contact us etc etc about 10 words)
heading 2: subcategories (entire catalog) (about 30 words)
heading 3: 10 px article links (internal) (about 10 at the moment - 'content' pages about the item I attempt to sell)
style 4: 10 px about us text of about 250 words.
On the article pages, the Topic or heading of the page is heading 3, with all the other articles to the left in heading 3, while the text is style 3 of about 250-500 words with about 5 links to the store for various products and keywords used once in bold and once in italics.
Questions:
-Do the search engines see only the first pages heading usage?
-Does this sound like a good method of SEO and structure?
Our store is OSCommerce based and is located in another directory. The main page site www.example.com has all the categories and subcategories to www.exmample.com/store/
and of course the articles all try to point out products to help the person with their issue in that directory or further deep.
Whatcha think?
