Hi,

I use Xenu's Link Sleuth all the time.

If you're not familiar with the good work done (for free) every day by this clever little alien, I suggest you take a look.

Meanwhile, recently I attached Xenu's html output to an email and sent it by email to a colleague across the country.

She reported the attachment was stripped out by her virus filter.

I resent it, this time as a c&p image of the html file in a word doc.

Same problem.

Surely I can figure out a way around this - but short of trial and error, I figured I'd post a message here to see if I can learn anything before I begin wasting copious amounts of time trying to diagnose what's going on here.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Could you upload the file somewhere that she could download it from? Or, you could zip it up before sending.

Matt,

thanks,

I did upload it - this was the easiest one of many workarounds.

Problem solved - the questions were "why did the attachment trigger the virus filter"... and "has anyone else experienced this"?
