I am new here- but this looks like it might be exactly what I am looking for.
My site www.larrysleatheroutlet.com
I get visitors, but most do not purchase- any suggestions on what I can do to change lookers into buyers? Change site name? Is the look a problem- using Front Page themes? Prices are not the problem- I am selling lower than almost everyone else.
I have used payperclick Overture and Google, but paid a lot more than orders warrant.
Also looking for higher search engine placement- I found a link robot program that costs under $250 and might be worth the cost.
How can I check my search engine ranking- to keep track of any changes in my placement?
Any help/ suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Larry,

Welcome to Webmasterworld!

I used Sticky Mail to give you some of my thoughts.

All centered text and "under construction" signs aren't considered cool. There is a distinct feel of site-done-on-the-cheap. Maybe these are affecting sales.

Welcome to WW. You aren't allowed to drop your URL in a thread. I'd suggest having a look at the WW TOS [webmasterworld.com]

Also, if you're wanting people to stay on your site and buy from you, why would you have a banner leading to another site above the fold? If you're going to keep the banner, at least put it at the bottom of the page so they see YOUR site first.

You're showing a red X on your links page.

Horizontal scrolling... mmmmmmmmm. Good idea, people really love that! (Sarcasm, btw)

You obviously don't know what you are doing, generally.

I'd suggest you learn the basics of good/decent webdesign and go from there.
