Overture has got to be screwy

I have been trying to analyze the demand/supply of some keywords, but I'm have quite a bit of trouble. The widget thing won't really work for this, so I'm going to use Mount Rushmore South Dakota for my example, since that isn't really the subject of my site, but will work for these purposes.

I typed Mount Rushmore South Dakota into the Overture keyword suggestion tool. No where in the results did Mount Rushmore South Dakota come up as having been searched for during the past. Rushmore Mount South Dakota did, however, come up. Each and every results was inverted. Now I can believe that some people typed the phrase incorrectly, but for each and every phrase? And, come on. No one in all of that time typed it in right?

Wordtracker wasn't much more help. The correct phrase did come up, but it says that only a few hundred people searched for Mount Rushmore South Dakota during the past few months. Now, I know that there is no way that only a few hundred people searched for this keyword.

Any suggestions as to how I can determine the demand when the reporting tools are faulty?

Thanks!

Wallace

Hi,

Effectively in some cases the keyword instruments seems to work bad.

I advise you to search empirically your keyword/s by typing it/them and watching if it/they appear frequently in the SERP.

I did it and it worked.
