Hello everyone I'm new. Can you tell me how to copy and paste text in your website. Meaning.. I used only Macromedia Contribute and have no idea what I'm doing. I can open in Internet explorer and go to source view but, I can't change anything there. I also downloaded front page extensions but I have no clue what to do. Thanks for any help I get!

Cindy, I think you are one of my competitors aren't you? ;-)

Hey, welcome to WW!

Can you tell me how to copy and paste text in your website.

Select the text, hit copy, place your cursor where you want the copied content to go, hit paste. (Hey, even caveman can answer that question!)

Also, perhaps you should get a good book on HTML as a starter? Just a thought. Good luck!

I'm not ONE of your competitors, I AM the competitor, so you might want to limit what you teach me! Your soooo funny. I know how to copy and paste hehe. What I meant was how to put googles adsence code onto my website. I can look at it in the source view but when I try to copy and paste it changes nothing. I don't want to be spamming but maybe you can look at my site (I don't sell anything) and tell me what you can see. Can others who know what they are doing change anything on my site?
Thanks

You won't need FrontPage extensions if you are using Macromedia Contribute. FP extensions are required on your webserver if you are using MS FrontPage to design and edit your sites (and even then they aren't really important unless you are using advanced features).

If you are using FP to design a site, then your host should be able to install FP extensions and configure them for you (assuming they support that as part of your package).

What exactly is it you want to do?

- Do you have an existing website you want to change?
- Or are you creating a new website from scratch?
- What are you using to edit / design with (FrontPage, Contribute, DreamWeaver, hand coding, etc)?

It sounds like you are using Macromedia Contribute and are trying to edit pages using your browser. I'm not familiar with Contribute but I would guess that you would need to log into some administration area in order to edit pages.

Perhaps someone else can comment on that. :)

Contribute is a CMS by Macromedia, the graphic designers make the site using dreamweaver, then plug it into Contribute for the writers to add and remove pages, etc.

It's pretty cool if you need that sort of thing.

Hi Scott,
I have a website but want to add link codes and adsence to it. I guess it's a WYSIWYG site? Thank you guys for being so helpful. Still lost?
