Guys and Girls,

What are you all using to delete Spyware?

I've been using the free Lavasoft program, but it hasn't been updated in quite a while, and I'm starting to have problems.

Is the pay-Lavasoft program good, are is there something better?

Thanks.

An interesting comment... I recall a major version upgrade within the past few months, and definitions are updated regularly. Are you sure you've got the current version -- AdAware 1.05SE current definitions Jan 11, 2005?

SpyBot Search and Destroy is another good free program, and the "Free Trial" Microsoft program that's mentioned on the current WebmasterWorld front page found a few more that AdAware and SpyBot both missed (works on XP only).

JDMorgan,

You are the man.

I just checked and found that I was working with an old edition. I just updated and cleared 78 objects inside my computer.

Thanks very much JDMorgran.

I love Webmaster World!

Giant Anti-Spyware was bought by MS.
That is what the "New" MS anti spyware program is based on.

Adaware, Spybot, and Hijackthis, are the only programs you will ever need, I have yet to find any peice of spyware that I can't get rid of with one of them, granted it would be nice if it was all one program, but hey we can't have everything now can we?

I find it easy to concur with what supermanjnk said above, although I also add on one more called spywareblaster which i learned about via spybot s&d
