Adding weblog to site

where do i start to give users the ability to post?

I have a multi-topic site and would like to add blogs to each topic for users to post to. Where would I start? (suggestions for tools, scripts, etc). I use Dreamweaver MX so any specific Dreamweaver info (sample, tutorial, etc) would be also helpful.

I would recommend Mambo, a PHP based content management system. It's farily easy to use and setup, the best part is that it comes complete with login procedures and handling of members.
