I have a site offering downloads for mobile users. Users browse my site select the content enter the id on the wap page (xHTML) from their mobile phone to download data. When I access the page from my PC the file can be downloaded but when I try the same from my phone Nokia 6600 it gives an error. (Unknown error) . My website runs on IIS 6.0, Windows 2003 Standard Edition.

Is it that IIS 6.0 blocks access to files which are accessed from mobile phones?

I think its more likely your phone doesn't know how to handle the file.

What type of file is it?

It is a Nokia 6600. The file is a midi file (.mid ext) The 6600 can download mid files. So I guess the error is not because of the mobile, it has something to do with IIS. :-(

Well when i did this sort of thing, it always worked fine without any special set up to my sony ericsson, but i randomly failed when sending to my friends nokia's, i think it is something to do with Nokia not being able to handle large midi files.

How big is the file?
