Greetings,

I am looking for a PHP Calendar script recommendation. The calendar must have:

  • A password protected admin page
  • The ability to add an event that lasts a couple of days, not just one (a recurring event)
  • Easy install

The script will be used to display local city events for my website.

The calendar must be able to hold at least 500 events at a time, via a MySQL or text file database.

I have looked through Hotscripts and OnlyPHP, and have found too many calendar scripts to look through.

I would appreciate any advice and suggestions. Thanks in advance!

I recently did my own assessment and WebCalendar seemed to be the best [k5n.us...]

I haven't actually used it yet, so I can't give a full endorsement.

Why PHP?

Matt Kruse's calendar script can be installed by anyone, it does it all the install configs on its own and even has a upload .bat with it. Go to the domain you'd go to if you knew it's name: calendarscript. :D

Why PHP?

It is a requirement from a client.

I will look more into the script you said. Thanks!

I have used CaLogic once and it seems to have plenty of features. It's Open Source PHP with a good demo on their web site. It came out on top of a Yahoo search so I didn't put the link.

I've used PHP Event Calendar ( [calendar.codewalkers.com...] ) for several sites. It's pretty easy to install & customise.

You might have already took a look here but you might find what you are looking for here with many features:
