Webmaster resources. What do you look for?

There is a lot of junk out there. What do you wish you could find easier?

I am working on a site that will be high in quality, but probably low in quantity. I have yet to find a web site for webmaster's that provides specific tools and resources that are practical, cost effective, and/or free.

What are some of your main concerns when looking for webmaster related resources? Free web tools? Cheap software? Other webmaster's testimonials on the products and services?

Do you have any specific sites that you find already meet the criteria stated above. If so then maybe I should pursue other ventures.
